 Create database in cPanel

Create database in hosting cpanel and access to FTP

In this lesson we will explain the steps to follow to know how to create a database on the free Hostinger server, as well as configure our FTP client to be able to send files.

Remember that we have seen the same in the lessons how to create a MySQL database in DirectAdmin and how to configure an FTP account in DirectAdmin, respectively, in the How to create a web page from scratch with a payment server course.

But now we will see how to do it with our free hosting from Hostinger.

Remember that a database will be necessary to create it for when we need to install any application on our website. Always, for any application that needs to make use of a database on our server, it will be created in the same way.

Then we proceed to explain step by step how to create a MySQL database in cpanel (cpanel, remember that it is the name of the control panel used by the company Hostinger).

We must enter the hosting panel (in our case, http://cpanel.hostinger.es).

Select the "Hosting \ MyDomain.com" tab and then "MySQL Databases".

Set the data for the database we want to create. The database name and user limit is 16 characters

Note that Hostinger adds our user code consisting of 11 characters in front of the database name. Therefore we can only use 5 characters for the name of the database and its user.

In addition, we must also indicate a password for the database.

By clicking "Create", hostinger has created the database with the information that we have indicated in the previous step. Let's look at how you created the database in the list of databases below; and clicking on the name of the database, a list of options related to the database itself appears.
